YMG Privacy
Your media stays yours.

Who we are
YMG — Your Media Guide is made by Cooper Crest Apps. This policy covers the YMG app and these support pages. For privacy questions, contact support@coopercrestapps.com.
Your server and your media
YMG connects to the Jellyfin server you choose. It sends that server the requests needed to sign in, browse libraries and artwork, play media, and use enabled features. These may include your account and device identifiers, playback activity, favorites, playlists, and optional shared channel schedules. Your server administrator controls that server and its records. YMG does not upload your media library or sign-in details to a Cooper Crest Apps server.
Sign-in and local storage
Your password is sent to your chosen Jellyfin server for authentication and is not saved by YMG. YMG stores the resulting session token in the Apple device’s Keychain. App settings, cached library metadata, guide schedules and airing history, and music queue and listening-session information are stored on your device. A small local playback event history helps diagnose playback problems; YMG does not automatically send it to us.
Optional sharing and library changes
If you enable guide sharing, YMG saves channel definitions and schedule information on your Jellyfin server so devices using that server and account can follow the same guide. Playlist and favorite changes are also saved on Jellyfin and may be visible in other apps using that account. Deleting a playlist in YMG is intended to remove only the playlist, not the underlying music files. Removing an item from a queue or playlist removes its reference.
Analytics, advertising, and Apple services
YMG does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. Apple may process TestFlight feedback and crash or diagnostic reports under Apple’s own policies and your settings. Information you choose to send through TestFlight may be available to the developer. Your Jellyfin server and any Live TV provider you configure operate under their own policies.
Support and this website
When you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond and investigate the issue. Please do not send passwords, session tokens, raw playback URLs, or unredacted app-data exports. Our email services process support mail. Cloudflare hosts this website and processes connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect it. These pages do not use advertising, tracking scripts, forms, or browser storage.
Retention and your choices
Sign out in YMG to remove its saved local sign-in session. Signing out does not delete server-side playlists, favorites, or shared schedules, and does not clear all local caches and preferences. Removing the app removes its local app data; Keychain storage is managed separately by Apple. To revoke a session, delete server-side data, or manage server logs, use Jellyfin or contact your server administrator. We keep support correspondence while needed to resolve and follow up on requests, and where required for security or legal obligations. You may contact support to request access to or deletion of correspondence we hold, subject to those obligations.
Connections and security
Use HTTPS when connecting outside a trusted home network. Local HTTP connections are supported, but HTTP does not encrypt sign-in or media traffic. YMG does not bypass invalid HTTPS certificates. No network or storage method can guarantee complete security.
Children and policy changes
YMG is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information. We may update this policy as YMG changes. The date above identifies the latest revision; the current policy is available here and in the app.
